The Path to Survey
Gap analysis
We read your policies, records, and plans against the current CARF standards manual and show you exactly where you stand.
Build & train
We write or revise what's missing and train staff so the work holds up when someone asks them about it.
Mock survey
We walk your program the way a surveyor would: record pulls, staff interviews, and a review of your evidence.
Survey & beyond
We help you through survey day, your Quality Improvement Plan, and the annual conformance report that follows.

Taking care of business
About
Dr. McCoy
Founder & Principal Consultant
Cincinnati, Ohio · Serving organizations nationwide
Accreditation works best when it reflects how your organization actually runs.
Dr. McCoy founded We Mean Business Consulting to give behavioral health and human service organizations a partner who has done this work from the inside. She has led operations and programs at a nonprofit outpatient behavioral health organization serving youth and adults through individual therapy, peer support, and case management.
In those roles she built the systems that accreditation depends on: policy manuals, record review processes, staff training, supervision structures, and quality improvement plans. She has also served as a CARF surveyor, conducting on-site surveys of other organizations, so she knows what surveyors look for and how they look for it.
Her approach is practical. She meets your team where it is, writes plain-language policies people will use, and leaves behind tools your staff can keep running after the engagement ends.
